The stainless steel socket tee is made by heating the pipe and processing it with professional equipment, then cutting and heating it to the critical temperature. After holding for a period of time, it is quickly put into the quenching agent to make the temperature drop abruptly. The tee is made by the method of rapid cooling faster than the critical cooling speed. Socket tee, also known as forged high-pressure tee, belongs to high-pressure pipe fittings. It can be used in high-pressure pipelines in many structural forms. According to the manufacturing process, it can be divided into (cold, hot) extrusion tee, forged tee and welded tee. Welded tee can also be divided into three types: thick-walled reinforced welded tee, single-bar reinforced welded tee and disc reinforced welded tee. According to the external shape of the tee, it can be divided into oblique tee, orthogonal tee and Y-shaped tee.

1. Variable diameter pipe fittings, refers to the pipe end or pipe welded tee on a section of the diameter reduced.

The differences between Stainless steel socket equal tee and butt weld tee

1. The fillet weld is formed by socket welding and the butt weld is formed by butt welding. Butt welding is superior to socket welding in strength and stress condition, so it is better to use butt welding in high pressure level and bad service condition.
2. Socket and socket welding is generally used for small diameter pipe less than or equal to DN40, such as small diameter valve and pipe, pipe fittings and pipe welding, which is more economical, butt welding is generally used for DN40 or more.
3. The lower pressure level and smaller caliber are mostly socket welding, while the higher pressure level is usually butt welding. And 100% flaw detection test is needed to ensure no leakage.
4. Socket-socket welding needs different diameters to insert into the welding, but there is no requirement for butt welding.
5. The requirements for butt welding are generally higher than socket welding, and the quality after welding is also good, so the detection means are relatively strict. Radiographic inspection is needed for butt welding and magnetic powder or penetration inspection for socket welding (such as carbon steel as magnetic powder and stainless steel as penetration).

1. In order to prevent the interocular corrosion caused by heating, the welding current should not be too large, about 20% less than carbon steel electrode, the arc should not be too long, the interlayer cooling should be fast, and the narrow weld path should be suitable.
2. The epidermis is of calcium titanium type and low hydrogen type. Titanium-calcium type can be used in AC and DC welding, but the penetration of AC welding is shallow, and it is easy to redden, so DC power supply is used as far as possible.
3. Welding rod should be kept dry when used, Ti-Ca type should be dried for 1 hour at 150 C, low hydrogen type should be dried for 1 hour at 200-250 C (can not be repeatedly dried, otherwise the skin is easy to crack and peel), to prevent sticky oil and other dirt on the surface of the electrode, so as to avoid increasing the carbon content of the weld and affecting the quality of the weld. When cold drawn tees and welded tees are heated repeatedly, carbides are precipitated, which reduces corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
