Steel threaded cap craftsmanship

It comprises a sealing ring, a connecting portion and a union nut for connecting the tubes, whereby the sealing ring is designed as a ring cutter with one or more cutting edges. By screwing the union nut onto the connecting portion, the ring cutter can be inserted into the bore of the connecting portion, the bore having a tapered surface. The outer side of the seal ring has an annular reinforcement on one side of the nut. The annular stiffener forms an annulus at its transition to the narrow loop. The angle of the annulus formed by the reinforcing portion of the ring cutter relative to the axis of the tube is 45°-90°. When fully assembled, the axial length of the annular stiffener is such that the transfer element disposed on the annulus can transfer its own negative image structure or itself onto the end face of the connecting portion. The transfer member has a contour of a three-dimensional shape, and its negative image can be transferred onto the surface of the joint portion. In a manner similar to the stamper, pressure is applied by the assembler to imprint the negative image onto the surface of the joint portion.
