The new project tender in Iraq
DNO Iraq AS operates the Peshkabir and Tawke oil fields as well as the Fishkhabour oil terminal in the northern Kurdistan region of Iraq.
The Peshkabir field under Tawke license is currently undergoing development, and the first production wells show a field average GOR of approximately 600 SCF/BBL. Peshkabir oil Associated Gas is currently flared (approx. 9 MMSCFD) as there is no available means of handling the gas. As oil rates increase, the flared gas rate will increase to well over 20 MMSCFD. In April 2018, a study was undertaken to assess the high-level technical requirements for using Peshkabir Associated Gas for enhanced oil recovery, by injecting the gas into the Tawke reservoir. Subsurface studies have shown that the Tawke reservoir is expected to respond favorably to gas injection. As part of this project, the sweetened dew-pointed gas (from the Peshkabir gas project) will be transported from Peshkabir to Tawke via a new 8” and existing 24” pipeline. The transported gas from Peshkabir to Tawke will be compressed up to the injection pressure at the existing compressor station at Tawke and delivered to injection wells at Tawke via a 6” injection pipeline.
On the eastern side of Peshkhabir field, another 6” gas injection pipeline will transport the injection gas to Peshkabir injection well (P1) via 6” pipeline from Peshkabir gas processing facility, and a new 10” trunk line Peshkabir # 9 production to Peshkabir CPF.
The Project scope for the detailed engineering as below:
New 8” gas pipeline from Peshkabir to Fishkhabour station, pigging stations and connection to
24” PL.
New 6” Peshkabir gas injection pipeline from Peshkabir gas facility to Peshkabir well P-1 (east
side of Peshkabir gas facility)
New 10” crude oil trunk line from eastern most Peshkabir well P-9 to Peshkabir CPF.
Metleader Pipeline Technology as the old supplier of DNO is invited to take part in this tender. Hope this tender can be won successfully.
