Non-standard forging flange processing requirements
1.The steel, steel plate material, size and thickness used in the processing of non-standard flanges must be selected in strict accordance with the requirements of the drawings. The overall weight of each non-standard forged flange needs to be basically consistent with the drawings. Can not exceed ± 5%, can not be lower than the weight requirement.
2. Avoid stress concentration areas during welding to facilitate welding and heat treatment operations.
3. Non-standard forging flanges are not suitable for opening holes in the weld and edge parts during processing.
4. The distance between two longitudinal welds (adjacent) is required to be greater than three times the wall thickness, but not less than 100 mm.
5. The distance between two adjacent longitudinal slits on the same cylinder section is not less than 200mm.
6. The selection of welding materials needs to meet the requirements of the drawings, and it needs to comply with the current national standards. The selected welding materials should be sealed and stored to prevent moisture deterioration. The storage environment temperature should not be lower than 5 °C, and the relative humidity should not exceed 70%.
7. The groove form and size of the weld shall comply with the design documents and the welding instructions. Except for the welds, the welds are continuous welds and the height of the weld is the minimum thickness of the weld.
8. Before welding, the oil, paint, scale, rust, burr and galvanized layer in the range of not less than 10mm on the groove and its inner and outer surfaces should be cleaned, and there should be no defects such as cracks and interlayers.
9. It is strictly forbidden to induce arc or test current on the surface of the base metal outside the groove, and it is required to prevent the arc from scratching the base metal.
It can be seen from the above that the non-standard forging flange is very strict in the processing design process, so that the forged flange can be made to meet the actual needs of users.
